Mason Lake Throw Blanket

When I sat down to design the Mason Lake Throw Blanket I wanted to accomplish two things. First, I wanted to design an easy crochet throw blanket pattern that had a more complex look. Secondly, I wanted to create a design that would be easy for both new and experienced crocheters. The Mason Lake Throw Blanket accomplishes both of these!

The Yarn

Choosing the yarn for this project was fun. I wanted a yarn that was soft so that the blanket would be snuggly. I also looked for a yarn that would have good stitch definition so that the stitch details and texture would be visible. I chose Caron One Pound because the yarn met both requirements and had a variety of colors to choose from. After a lot of debate – because all of the colors are amazing – I went with the Deep Sea Teal colorway. Not only is the color a knock-out shade, but the solid color showcased the stitches really well.
