Simply Content Christmas Throw Blanket
I’m a firm believer that simple crochet patterns are amazing. I have a major respect for complex crochet projects and intricate patterns, but I also love to make and use crochet projects that are made from basic stitches and have easy color changes. Last year’s Christmas throw blanket pattern, the Christmas Traditions Throw Blanket, is the perfect example of my belief concept!
The Simply Content Christmas Throw Blanket uses standard stitches and a classic Christmas color palate to help you create a crochet throw blanket that everyone in your family will love. This design is made almost entirely from double crochet stitches, so it’s a great pattern to help you relax in the evening while you’re creating. It’s also beginner-friendly, so stitchers of all skill levels can have this beautiful blanket in their home.
The Yarn
This is one of the first patterns that I designed, so I was in the process of building up my yarn knowledge and trying new yarns with every pattern. I initially chose Lion Brand Pound of Love because I really liked the colors (and the concept of buying yarn in large quantities). I am so glad that it was the yarn that “won” while I was shopping! It’s really soft and has great stitch definition, which is perfect for a throw blanket.
