Free Crochet Pattern: Creekside Lodge Placemat

|

Growing up, the kitchen was the center of our home. The kitchen table was where we did our homework, where we sat and visited while my parents cooked dinner, and where we gathered as a family for nearly every meal. As an adult, I have always made an effort to create that same special space in our home. Adding handmade items to our table, like the Creekside Lodge Placemat, is one of the ways I’ve been able to create a place where we can gather together to enjoy a meal and talk about our day.

Creekside Lodge Placemat

The Creekside Lodge Placemat is a rectangular placemat that can be used every day to dress up your kitchen table while still being incredibly functional. This placemat is made of alternating rows of single crochet and half-double crochet, but has an extra touch of texture and visual appeal by including spike single crochet stitches sprinkled throughout the design. The solid nature of the design helps keep your table clean during meal time, and the spike single crochet stitches provide just enough intrigue to the fabric that your table will feel like a relaxing place to spend time with those you love.
