Pebblebrook Dishcloth
Dishcloths are some of my favorite projects. I love that I’m able to make something functional with my crochet skills, and I really enjoy using something I’ve made when I am cleaning the kitchen.
The Pebblebrook Dishcloth is possibly the easiest dishcloth in the Rustic Charm Dishcloth CAL. It’s made almost entirely of half double crochet and single crochet stitches, and the natural beauty of the stitches gives it the simple, farmhouse look that I love.
Be sure to check out the Rustic Charm Dishcloth CAL post to find the links to all of the patterns!
The Yarn
Since dishcloths are used in the kitchen, cotton yarn is must. I really enjoy making dishcloths as a stash-buster. I’m usually able to use the last of the cotton yarn left over from a project to make something new! Just like last time, I used I Love This Cotton yarn for this project. Since this is a small project, I was able to use the yarn I had left over from designing the Creekside Lodge Placemat.
I Love This Cotton yarn is great because it has all of the sturdy characteristics of cotton yarn, but also has a soft feel. The dishcloths I’ve made using this yarn are not rough on my hands while I’m working, but they definitely have great stitch definition so that you can see the simple beauty of the half-double crochet stitches.
